Ice cream is more than just a sweet treat. Did you know that the ice cream industry not only contributes $39 billion dollars to the national economy but that it also provides more than 188,000 jobs across the country? Now that’s something to celebrate! President Ronald Reagan designated July as National Ice Cream Month in 1984 and we never miss a chance to enjoy this sweet treat in all its forms. National Ice Cream Day is celebrated on the third Sunday in July.
July is a jubilant month that brings with it so many of our favorite things. After celebrating with family and friends along the festive parade route and under the awe of the fireworks during Orrville, Ohio’s famous Orrville Firefighters Independence Day Celebration, we feel especially grateful for everything local. Building partnerships, growing a strong business that gives back, and treating our customers to the tastiest ice cream and frozen treats around is all part of a day’s work for us. So we’re excited to celebrate National Ice Cream month and raise a cone to all of our fellow ice cream lovers out there!
Whether you want to cool off with a classic Red, White & Blue Pop while lounging poolside or serve up scoops of Frozen Hot Chocolate Ice Cream around the firepit, we hope you’ll celebrate National Ice Cream month with us! Eat local with Ruggles Ice Cream.
